Listen in to our live-recorded Cosplay 101 panel from ConQuesT 46, held on Memorial Day weekend. This panel was held at a local, fantasy and sci-fi literature convention with the George R.R. Martin as the guest editor of honor. We got to sit in the Iron Throne, host a couple panels, and check out some wonderful dealers. This panel was recorded live and is unedited and uncut. I moderate along with Rachel Stewart of the Super Sirens, Dennis Butt of Butthead Costumes, and Amber Bingham of Ana Chronistic Cosplay. Enjoy!
We’d liked to give a special thanks to ConQuesT 46 for allowing us to host two panels and providing us with table space during their Memorial Day weekend convention.

Ian and I host along with returning guest Austin from our “New to Cosplay” podcast and introducing a first-time guest, Marie Vera. After listening, comment on this post and let us know if you have any genderbending or crossplay experience or if you have any questions\comments about these types of cosplay. Enjoy!
This week, we sit down to discuss our thoughts on Avengers: Age of Ultron, what we liked, what we didn’t, and what we expect\wish to see in the upcoming 2015 and 2015 Marvel Studios films including Ant-Man, Captain America: Civil War, and more! We talk the new Avengers lineup, Thanos finally getting out of his chair, and how we think Civil War will differ from the comic book story arc of the same name. KC Cosplay & Photography attended three Avengers: Age of Ultron premieres and the Ultimate Marvel Marathon! Four events at four different theaters across three different theater companies. We had tons of cosplayers including two Captain Americas, an Iron Man, Dr. Strange, Daredevil, a couple Scarlet Witches including a comic book version, Nick Fury, Black Widow, Ms. Marvel, Hawkeye, Quicksilver, Thor, Falcon, Pepper Pots, and Iron Fist. Don’t forget to Assemble!
We’d liked to give a special thanks to the movie theaters that not only let us join them but were incredibly supportive and welcoming: AMC Theaters Town Center 20 and Studio 28, Phoenix Legends 14, Alamo Drafthouse KC.

This week, we sit down to discuss season 1 of the new Netflix original series, Daredevil from Marvel Studios. This series is the first in a set of four including AKA Jessica Jones, Luke Cage, and Iron Fist, which all lead up to The Defenders. Season 1 of Daredevil takes place in Hell’s Kitchen in New York City. This is Marvel Studios’ first series or film that would be rated R. It’s dark, gritty, and intense. Listen to hear more about the smash hit first season that already has season two ordered (which was not confirmed until after we recorded)!

Some incredibly entertaining guests join us to breakdown the very essence of LARPing for us, discuss the multiple connections to cosplay itself, and even talk about starting a brand new LARP system here in Kansas City. Give these guys a listen and check out the links below to try out LARPing for yourself.
